When visiting the ancient Gio An water well system in Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province, historian Tran Quoc Vuong noted that it is a unique structure for its groundwater, rock arrangement technique, and surrounding green ecosystem, especially the watercress. The province is developing a plan to conserve and utilise the ancient water distribution system for tourism.
